Liisa is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 35 years experience working in industry, small business, and not-for-profit organizations. She is responsible for the Finance and Administration team of the Nanoose First Nation. Her responsibilities include the preparation, administration, and monitoring of operating and capital budgets, monthly accounting functions such as payroll, accounts receivable and payable, as well as financial planning, structuring, and reporting.
Liisa moved to Fanny Bay on Vancouver Island with her husband in July 2006 after working for over 22 years in the oil and gas industry in Calgary, Alberta. She joined Nanoose First Nation’s Band Administration team in November 2016 after working in the aviation and fish farming industries on the Island. She loves living on Vancouver Island and volunteers for her local Community Association as the Treasurer. She enjoys gardening, reading, scrapbooking and card making, and is a big Premier League soccer and NASCAR racing fan.

Deborah is a graduate of VIU’s accounting program and has worked with Nanoose First Nation for two years. Her primary duties include managing accounts payable and completing employee payroll. Additionally, Deborah works closely with the Financial Controller to ensure that all documents meet CPA/Provincially Legislated standards

Tom has been a dedicated FNLMA Coordinator for 19 years at Snaw-naw-as First Nation. As the Lands Manager, Tom has played a pivotal role in overseeing several large projects, such as the development of NFN’s Land Code, tax laws, and more. Tom enjoys spending time with his family and helping the nation grow stronger through his work.

Social Development
As a strong advocate for increasing employment in Snaw-naw-as, it is Kelli’s passion to offer her support for the community through her job as the Manager of NFN’s Social Development Department. After completing a joint major in Anthropology and Criminology, Kelli moved on to complete a Forensics Degree Program at BCIT and pursued a career in her field on the mainland. Ultimately, Kelli accepted an opportunity to work in community and has resided here for over 10 years. Kelli enjoys working with elders and helping her clients better themselves in their life paths
